ABSTRACT
The aim of this review is to present an analysis of the literature. The review is based on published academic research on the subject, and it is complemented with a summary of "gray" literature, based on sources found on the Internet. We believe that there is a need to review the literature for the case of women who have set up an online business and to indicate a direction of future studies. We conclude the article by mentioning that there is a dearth of academic research in the area and a lack of accumulated knowledge with explanatory theories and proposals.
