Derivation of the effective E field for short electromagnetic pulses

As the time duration of an electromagnetic pulse becomes shorter the bandwidth of the pulse increases. ,This presents a problem in the selection of a frequency for the calculation of the effective E field. This paper discusses a method for calculating the effective E field of a short electromagnetic pulse.
