Rare Illinois Issuer Puts Out Underwriter Call for Water Deal

The triple-A rated DuPage Water Commission, which manages the water delivery system for the affluent area just west of Chicago, Illinois is accepting proposals until May 19, 2003 from broker-dealer firms interested in underwriting a proposed 151 million dollar revenue bond refunding. The deal will mark the commission's first revenue bond sale since the 1993 refunding. Moody's Investors Service Inc. rates the revenue bonds Aa1 and the GOs Aaa, while Standard & Poor's Corp. rates both bonding programs AAA.
