ABSTRACT
The article presents an outreach project for data discovery services for the Gulf Restoration Network (GRN), a non-profit based in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico conducted in 2011. It discusses the gathering of key information needs of GRN including information on the impact of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the April 2010 BP oil spill at Deepwater Horizon using databases from the LOSCO Data Catalog, LouisianaMap and Electronic Recording Machine, Accounting.
