ABSTRACT
The credit outlook by a rating agency Moody's Investor Service Inc. for Florida's local governments is stable despite some continuing declines in the tourism sector, while a nationwide survey found that 79 percent of American business travelers plan to travel the same amount or more domestically in the summer season of 2003. Moody's Investor Service Inc. said a positive factor is that the state's population growth of 23.53 percent over the past decade has been significantly higher than the U.S. population increase of 13.15 percent. Even though rapid growth has strengthened the state's economy but it has also put pressure on government services for education, corrections, transportation, and health and human services.
