Discusses how police in Jamesburg, New Jersey are suing ABC for libel in relation to a television segment by ABC New's `PrimeTime Live' about routine police harassment of African-American drivers titled `Driving While Black,' which aired in 1996. The allegations that ABC committed deception in a story employing a hidden camera; The enlisting of young African-American men as bait for the segment; The question as to whether the lawsuit is unpolluted by extraneous factors.
