ABSTRACT
Background: Recently, it is increasing to combine the estimation of energy from wind farms and Photovoltaic (PV) generators with power grid operating system. Since the energy from wind farms and PV shows high variation due to varying meteorological phenomena and the sun's position respectively, it is essential to estimate the energy generation accurately to combine the unstable energy with power grid system so that the overall system can generate a stable energy. Objective: In this paper, we propose a short-term estimation model for distributed energy using real-time meteorological forecasting information. Results: To increase the short-term accuracy, we use physical and statistical model in which grid-points intermediate estimations are made, and then, statistical model are applied for final meteorological estimation. Conclusion: The proposed model is evaluated with real-time measurement and mid-term meteorological forecasting information in a test-bed.
