Examines the impact of group composition on student achievement, time on task, and group interactions when completing integrated learning system (ILS) activities in cooperative pairs. Major logistic problems for teachers and administrators struggling to incorporate integrated learning systems (ILS) instruction into their curriculum; Possible explanations for the time-on-task differences between the treatment groups; Several areas in which further research may be warranted.
