ABSTRACT
Points out the link between overweight parents and the future weight of their children. The study which showed that children with at least one overweight parent had twice the chance of becoming a heavy adult; The indication that in the early years, the child's own weight is less important than the parent's weight when predicting the child's future weight; The genetic tendency to be overweight.
