ABSTRACT
The article shares updates to aircraft manufacturer Boeing's development of the 737 MAX family of aircraft as of May 2014. It claims that Boeing is preparing the first propulsion hardware for initial ground tests of its CFM Leap-1B engine in June as all the inlet designs to support the engine testing are ready. It cites initial parts including a deep inlet lipskin, a one-piece inner barrel, and inlet bulkheads produced according to Boeing's design by propulsion and nacelle specialist Nordam.
