Reports the Madeleine D. Portier, a 1937 graduate of Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, donated $500,00 to FAMU in 1997. Amount of the donation being the value of a charitable remainder trust in the name of Portier and her late husband, Dr. Rodney H. Portier.
