Black women awarded $4.5 million in hair care suit

Reports that United States District Court Judge Gerald Rosen ruled against hair care company World Rio Corporation in a suit brought by almost 53,000 black women for the negative side affects of the company's hair straightening product. Settlement awarded; Actions of the Food and Drug Administration concerning World Rio; Details of the claims to be determined by a panel overseen by a court administrator.
