ABSTRACT
A conference paper about the importance of trust during crisis is presented. It states that the terrorist attack in the U.S. on September 11, 2001, resulted in distrust among foreigners worldwide, to the war against terrorism. The global economic crisis resulted in public's distrust in financial institutions and in political leaders. It is stated that after the financial crisis of 2008, many people in Europe and in the U.S. have lost confidence in banks.
