The article reports that Barclays PLC has decreased its legal panel by 30 per cent, and its new-look roster is simplicity itself, featuring just two lists. These two new lists include one made up of general or preferred advisers and the other of specialist, approved advisers. Panel firms such as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Linklaters LLP were asked to team up with smaller firms to create a single unit as part of the review process.
