ABSTRACT
The article focuses on an increasing number of elder financial exploitation cases within and outside of the family in the U.S. Topics discussed include an estimation of the National Center on Elder Abuse on lack of a uniform reporting system of elder abuse case, white female as the typical victim of elder financial abuse and scams amongst the elderly population ranging from telemarketing fraud to home repair fraud. It informs about power of attorney and Adult Protective Services agencies.
