ABSTRACT
The author argues on the issue over the death of a young Iranian man, Reza Barati, during the orgy of violent rioting against Manus Island detention centre inmates on February 16-17, 2014 in Australia. Barati was deliberately beaten and kicked to death by a gang of PNG nationals working at the camp as security or maintenance staff. Barati was killed through his head being beaten and stomped into a metal grating on a stairway landing.
