Wespac Sets Sights on Increasing Catch Of Bigeye Tuna in Eastern Pacific Ocean

The article focuses on the insights of the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council (Wespac) on the effect of an amendment in the pelagic fishery management plan regarding the international limit on the catch of bigeye tuna of Hawai'i longliners in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. It states that the amendment allows continues catching of bigeye tuna even after reaching the 3,763 metric tons quota set by the Western and Central Pacific Fishery Management Commission (WCPFC).
