ABSTRACT
Presents information regarding the fashion photographer Irving Penn. Information on the "Nudes" photographs made by Penn; Details of the cigarette butt picture of Penn; Information that "Nudes" are pictures of forms, at times almost abstract, coaxed into a kind of sculptural monumentality by the elimination of both a human context, the cropped, isolated bodies seen in close-up, photographed as if they were stones, and the kind of modeling that makes the flesh palpable and sensuous to the eye.
