ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study which examines the effect of mental challenges at work to maintain cognitive health. It states that 4,182 people who worked in various jobs participated in the Health and Retirement Study and were interviewed approximately eight times between 1992 and 2010. Results show that people who had worked in jobs with fewer mental demands were more likely have decline in memory compared to people who worked with greater mental demands have better memories.
