The article discusses the opportunities sized by enterprise electronic (e)-learning solutions provider Desire2Learn to increase its penetration in the market of higher education. Topics include the establishment of the member-owned advanced technology community known as Internet2, the history of the learning management systems in education, and the standardization of almost 12% of colleges in the U.S. on the learning management system of Desire2Learn.
