ABSTRACT
The article discusses the U.S. National Organ Transplant Act (NOTA) and the proposed establishment of a federal regulation regarding waitlist eligibility for organ transplant patients with disabilities in America as of 2014. Scarcity and waste are addressed in relation to America's transplantation process. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is mentioned, along with the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws' creation of a Uniform Anatomical Gift Act.
