ABSTRACT
This study aimed at identifying the motivations of practicing Basketball for Deaf players in Jordan according to variables of age and experience and educational qualification and Job. The researcher used the descriptive technique, selecting an international sample of (9) players from Prince Ali Club for Deaf \ Amman. They applied the questionnaire used by (Diabat / M.A 1992 and El-Saleh and Al- Hendawi 2009). The analysis of the data showed that the motivations of the Deaf players were arranged as follows: Fitness, Technical, Psychological, Social, Economic and Vocational motivations. It also showed that there was no statistical evidence among the motives due to variables as: age, experience, educational qualification and the job. The results were positive. The scholar recommended taking care of the motivations of the deaf players of basketball and developing them as well as holding courses of psychology and motivations to the coaches and promotion of the game "Deaf Basketball", and another individual and team games.
