ABSTRACT
The article reports on the use of styrene and cobalt in automobile manufacturing. It says that styrene is used in loadings of up to 40% by weight in unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) and in vinyl ester resin. It highlights the introduction of the BK-S 760 next generation styrene emissions reducer from BYK USA Inc. It indicates that cobalt replacement for composites applications is less evolved than styrene replacement.
