ABSTRACT
The family Noctuidae the most diversified group of Lepidoptera of mayor economic importance because of the detrimental activity of the larvae. In Chile, several studies have focused on the taxonomy and description of noctuid preimaginal states, with few reports on seasonal abundance of noctuids in our country. Bearing this in mind, this study provides information on the seasonal flight and abundance of noctuids of agricultural importance in the La Araucanía Region, southern Chile. For three seasons captures were performed in different agroecological areas using light traps. A total of 28 species were recorded in the different study areas. This study also presents the flight curves of six noctuids of agricultural importance in the south of Chile.
