ABSTRACT
The article reports on SociBot-Mini, a robot built by Will Jackson and colleagues at Engineered Arts Ltd. in the Penryn section of Cornwall, England. A discussion of the robot's capabilities, which include a depth-sensing camera used to capture gestures, the ability to capture facial expressions using a webcam and the ability to use computer vision software to perform tricks like recognising people, working out someone's mood from their grimaces and smiles and guessing their age, is presented.
