Reviews scientific literature on multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS). Adoption of a broad definitions of MCS; Considerations related to the existence and cause of MCS; Evidence suggestive that MCS is sometimes used as an indiscriminate diagnosis for undiagnosed disorders; Proposition of casual mechanisms related to the existence of MCS; Need for establishment of the prevalence of MCS.
