Reports that the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the marketing of corn seeds genetically engineered to produce pesticides against the European corn borer. Approval granted to Mycogen Corp. and Ciba Seeds; EPA approval as final regulatory hurdle; Bacillus thurgiensis (Bt) gene in corn seeds; Concerns regarding Bt resistance.
