ABSTRACT
The article reports on the strategic global agreement between communication technology and services provider Ericsson and telecommunication network provider Ciena Corp. The partnership has enabled the development of joint transport solutions for Internet protocol (IP)-optical convergence and service provider software-defined networking (SDN). Also tackled is Ericsson's benefits with Ciena's best-in- class optical technology leadership.
