ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in returns from commercially owned residential property in Great Britain in 2013, as indicated in the IPD UK Annual Residential Property Index report that was released in March 2014. Topics discussed include the increase in rents from market rented homes, the alignment of such increase to inflation and wage growth, and the factors that drove demand for residential property. Also mentioned are the findings in an English Housing Survey from 2012 to 2013.
