ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study on infection prevention efforts in the intensive care unit of U.S. hospitals. A report in the February 2014 issue of the "American Journal of Infection Control" indicates that practices to prevent catheter-association urinary tract infections (CAUTI) needs improvement. The study used a survey to evaluate adherence to evidence-based infection prevention practices at hospitals in the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).
