ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the total assets announced by the petroleum company Ecopetrol SA which includes its crude oil, condensate and natural gas reserves, affiliates and subsidiaries till December 31, 2013. Total assets has been calculated on the basis of standards and methodologies introduced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Auditing of the assets has been done by three auditing firms including Gaffney, Cline and Associates and Ryder Scott Co. LP.
