ABSTRACT
The article looks at immigration policy and proposed immigration reforms, as of 2014. The author says it is likely that illegal immigrants already in the U.S. will remain in the country. He presents a case for the view that loosening restrictions so as to increase future immigration by low-skilled people will hurt existing immigrants and their families disproportionately by putting downward pressure on the wages of low-skill jobs.
