Attorney Gisele C. Rainer joined Nixon Peabody LLP as a partner in its San Francisco office, the latest in a number of new hires as the firm expands its public finance practice. Nixon Peabody also recently added Edsell “ Chip” Eady Jr. and Lawrence C. Jensen, both formerly of Foley & Lardner, to its San Francisco office. In recent years, Nixon Peabody's public finance group has more than doubled, part of the firm's plans for growth particularly, in California, Massachusetts, and the rest of the East Coast, according to a news report. The prominent national law firm has not been bond counsel or disclosure counsel for any bond sales in California or the Far West in 2003.
