ABSTRACT
In this article the author who is the 2013-14 President of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), shares her concern that the professional identity of mental health counselors is at center of challenge to practice as Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs). It explains the unforeseen obstacle to professional identity recognition of mental health counselors.
