ABSTRACT
The article discusses the demographic variation in subgroups of the U.S. school students regarding substance use. Topics discussed include the prevalence of males in illicit drug use as compared to females, less consumption of crack cocaine and heroin in urban areas, and use of cocaine associated with socioeconomic level in the U.S. The high risk of non college-bound students to consume illicit drugs.
