ABSTRACT
The article offers tips on how to deal issues associated to winter fouling. Checking if the mare has had a casslick is suggested to avoid infection. Ensuring that the mare is not dripping milk is advised. Veterinary check-up is also recommended although veterinarian is not present or needed during fouling.
