ABSTRACT
Surveys Ceren, El Salvador, a Mayan village that is the best preserved prehistoric site in Latin America. Ceren was entombed under five meters of volcanic ash from an eruption of nearby Loma Caldera volcano about A.D. 590. No human remains found; Indications the people had some warning; Research of Payson Sheets (University of Colorado at Boulder) and Dan Miller (US Geological Survey).
