ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Supreme Court case Crawford v. Marion County Election Board and the developments in the voter identification laws in the U.S. as of 2013. Topics discussed include a historical account of federal regulation on state voter disenfranchisement, the government's measures on voting rights and voter fraud, and the actions taken by state governments to prevent fraud. Also provided is information regarding the negative consequences of enforcing voter identification laws.
