ABSTRACT
The article reports on a reluctance which many counselors have to provide mental health services to military veterans who have post traumatic stress disorder and addiction issues. In the article the author offers her opinions on factors which addiction professionals need to consider when treating veterans with post traumatic stress and addiction and on strategies which they can use to become better able to adapt to the needs of and provide mental health services to veterans.
