ABSTRACT
The article features electrical power company AES Corp. which entered Argentina and Brazil in the 1990s. The reforms in the electrical sector in Latin America, and the company's focus on acquisitions are discussed. The decisions made by chief executive officer Andrés Gluski including reducing their participation in AES Gener in Chile, and divesting shares in Trinidad are mentioned. Also stated is the importance of attracting private sector investment.
