ABSTRACT
The article presents the findings from an interview with Carlos Slim Domit of the conglomerate Grupo Carso and América Móvil on their method for decision making. The purchase of Mexican telecommunications company Telmex, and the ten principles that guide them including uniformity and making only small mistakes are discussed. Also included are their institutionally organized corporate governance and the maintenance of discipline in their analysis of acquisitions.
