ABSTRACT
The author looks at the slow advances in marine propulsion efficiency and the huge opportunity for spectacular developments in the marine industry. He comments on some inventions and products he has encountered including hydrogen-fuelled marine engines and an electronic system to prevent algae growth on vessel hulls. He also urges inventors or product developers to get a working model.
