ABSTRACT
Fertilization investigations were carried out in the experimental fields of Institute of Horticulture, LRCAF in 200-2010 and production storability investigations -- in the storage houses of Institute Biochemistry and Technology laboratory in 2009--2011. The soil -- calcaric epihypogleyic luvisol of sandy loam on light loam with small and average amount of humus, small amount of nitrogen, big and very big amount of phosphorus, average and big amount of potassium, rich in agile calcium and magnesium. Root-crops were stored in camera, under steady temperature (-1-+2 °C) and relational humidity (85-90 %). Root-crop storability was checked after 3 and 6 months. The healthy and diseased (rotten, partly rotten and withered, i. e. unsuitable for consumption) carrot root-crops were separated and the natural loss (drying out) was established. There was investigated the influence of complex fertilizers with humic substances (fertilizer Humifirst 11-07-17 with microelements and humistar was used for investigations) on carrot productivity and storability. The biggest marketable carrot yield (63.3 t ha-1) was obtained when the rate of nitrogen was decreased up to 25 % (N45), complex fertilizers with microelements and humic substances were applied and 25 l ha humistar (Kth + h) was poured. Output of marketable yield was 71.2 %. Applying the combination of these fertilizers the root-crop mass was the biggest one (133.7 g). The biggest amount of marketable production after short-time and long-time storage were applying the complex fertilizers with microelements and humic substances and applying only complex fertilizers. In both cases nitrogen rate was decreased up to 25 % and 25 l ha-1 humistar (Kt + h ir Kth + h) was poured. The marketable production after the irst control was correspondingly 94.5 and 97.7 %, after the second one -- 87.7 and 87.6 % of the stored yield. After short-time storage (2 months) there was obtained 59.8-59.9 t ha-1 of marketable production, and after long-time storage (6,5 months from the beginning of storage term) -- 55.5-53.7 t ha-1 of marketable production.
