ABSTRACT
The article discusses four firms that exemplify sound principles of successful business management. Financial advisory firm Edward Jones specializes in developing long-term relationships with both customers and employees, and has enjoyed double-digit growth rates in both profits and revenues since 1980. Colgate-Palmolive Co. has earned superior returns on equity relative to its peers. Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. has a strong record of satisfying both customers and investors.
