Town of Thomasville erects Dick Idol carving of founder

Reports on the erection of a ten-foot-tall bronze statue of John Thomas, founder of the community of Thomasville, North Carolina to commemorate the 150th anniversary of its founding. Design of the statue by artist Dick Idol, whose licensed home furnishing lines include upholstery by Klaussner and rugs by Capel.
