This section comments on the various modes of learning in advancing the financial professional's knowledge. As a financial professional, you need to learn. Practically speaking, your professional designations require you to continue your education throughout your career. A profitable practice, ever-changing economic climate, shifting demographics and different client needs demand a commitment to staying informed. Perhaps even more important, you desire knowledge. Your own curiosity, your drive to advance, and to do the best you can by your clients and your colleagues, keep your dedication to learning alive. The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) certainly has had time to develop one of those modes: educational conferences. For 155 years, members of the AAAS have been attending its annual meetings. And the objective of the AAAS annual meetings has always been to share current knowledge across all fields of science in order to stimulate further scientific advancement, Similarly, for the Financial Planning Association, its educational events provide fertile ground for growing new thought.
