ABSTRACT

States that Pepto-Bismol, thought of as a medicine for adults, can be added to the arsenal of remedies for childhood diarrhea. Details of a recent study in `New England Journal of Medicine' which showed that children who took the medicine generally recovered more quickly than children who received the standard treatment of water and starchy foods.
