States that during the last seven years, pilots have reported more than 20 incidents of interference with their instruments that they attribute to electronic gear operated by passengers. Examples; Denial by Electronics Industries Association that gear can cause interference; Pilot concern over interference with the VOR (visual omnirange) network; Study of potential problem by Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA).
