ABSTRACT
Discusses how composer Guy Garnett is planning to conduct an unusual chamber orchestra: human flutist Priscilla Call and a Yamaha TG77 synthesizer. Garnett will wield a conducting baton that sends an infrared signal to control the synthesizer's tempo and phrasing, and on the other hand, an electronic glove that will send signals to a Mac controlling the synthesizers timbre, spatialization, and reverberation of both the flute and the synthesizer's sound.
