ABSTRACT
The article offers the author's insights on the conception of Italian architect Francesco di Giorgio regarding the Renaissance architecture as outlined on his Trattato di architectura treatise. The author says that the De re aedifactoria by Italian architect Leon Battista Alberti was regarded as the preeminent architectural theory in many of the contemporaries of di Giorgio. She mentions that Trattato has served as a standard reference manual of architecture in late-fifteenth-century Italy.
